Question concerning powering circuit

So I've just completed wiring up the brain.  I've realized I have an issue with the circuit and some of the welds.  My question is how will I know first hand that the circuit is wired correctly aside from actually having to connect it up to the computer.  Will the LED light up if the circuit is wired correctly with the battery plugged in?  Is there an easy way for me to tell that the circuit is wired correctly?  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

first of all, by brain do you mean microprocessor and weld as soldering joint?
Are you working on the $50 robot?

If you are building the $50 robot the LED will not light if you plug the battery in. It only lights when it is programmed.

you could do some continuity tests and match it up w/ the images Admin has (step 3B of $50 robot)
