Linux PIC Programmer

I'm having a hard time finding a PIC Programmer that meets my needs.

My OS is Linux (Fedora), so I need a compiler that runs in and a programmer that works with Linux. Other wise a stand alone programmer with a SD or USB reader.
I want a PIC 18, nothing lower, such as a PIC 16 or 12.
My laptop only has USB ports.
I don't want a development package, just a stand alone Microcontroller ideally.
I'd like to program in Assembly Language. (second choice would be C)
And finally a max price limit of $200 for the programmer.

Maybe the MPLAB Compatible ZIF Programmer - USB Powered is my best bet : http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=4

MPLAB+PICkit2 or 3 should be able to be used on Linux, just check Microchip's site on the PICkit2/3 compatibility. For the compiler I'd recommend CCS C, but then again check to see the compatibility with Linux.
