The Taurus 2 Robot used a MCU board called the Cerebellum, which is discontinued...I'm sure you can find a circuit or a used board somewhere on the internet (perhaps ebay?)

The Cerebellum used the common PIC 16F877, so shouldn't be hard to find another mcu with it.

With zero code modification, none.

Any 16F series PIC should be 99% code compatible, you'd just have to redefine pins in the code.
