So I was cruizin the interwebs for some laser diode info and went to spark fun. They have something that is a ready to use OSCAR product. I am getting tired and the protocol page looks complex but it basically works the same as the OSCAR setup. Need to confirm that and find out how the write to the registers.
This got me thinking about our protocol a bit and I might write a post on some new ideas to fix the multi-master issue. Gotta think about it for a bit.
Here are the sites:
http://www.openservo.com/TWIProtocol
http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=9014
EDIT:
I went over the page again and I will go ahead and say the OPEN SERVO I2C protocol is OSCAR approved. the page listed above is also a great place to learn how the oscar protocol should work. They have pretty pictures.
