its still pretty fast! do you want a suggestion on how to make it go faster or to know if people think it should to faster?
you cannot have speed and accuracy to an extent. the faster your robot goes, the less accurate it is and thus the more likely it is to veer off the line and go somewhere else. i think you did a great job on this robot.
just out of curiosity, was this the atmega16 board, or something else?

ps: i love the blue, it must look awesome at night ;D

Thanks 4 ur comment..

I use Axon for the controller, yeah it a redundant for a line following robot with 8 sensor and 2 motor driver, but i want to experiment on many thing, so i use Axon. Blue it's also my favorite colour..i use superbright blue LED, just for fun. yeah and it looks good in dark.. :D..

about the speed, i only use 50-60% of PWM..what u said it's true, it's hard to control it in high speed, maybe i must do some experiment about the sensor placing, it's too close from the wheel...

Thanks Smash..

ahh, the axon... i couldn't see it :P
blue is my favorite led color too ;D
experimenting with different motor speeds is the best way to find the optimal speed.
try moving the sensors around and doing it on different tracks.

for speeding it up, you said you have 8 sensors, try spreading them out side to side and have them do different amounts of "turning"  ie. if one of the outer sensors reads the line your would need to turn more than if one of the inside sensors reads the line.

Also, moving the sensors farther forward away from the wheels gives you a better reaction time to the line (having the sensors farther from the wheels amplifies the magnitude of any turn, think of your robot as a pencil, if you grab a pencil in the middle, you don't have to spin it a lot for the front to move a lot)  so the farther forward you mount your sensors the better control you will have
use the google.  it's your friend.
