not really something you most people will find useful but here's a pic of some bars of tin i made from tin solder. it's pretty easy to do. all i did was blast the solder with a propane torch while melting it into a graphite bullion mold. might be interesting to try to fabricate some parts if nothing else then for decoration of my robots

i dont know what kind of part you could build with that, isn't tin a bit soft for most mechanical uses?

ya it is a fairly weak and mailable but not as much as lead. it might be good for some wheel hubs or maybe casting copies of some plastic army men

ya i made some flat topped bars. it's pretty wasteful since you have to squish the top and cut the excess off but i find tin re melts pretty well.
