Ceramic cap+resistor between Sharp IR signal and GND
« on: August 23, 2009, 02:21:51 PM »
I put a 22uF 62V electrolytic capacitor in the JST connector of my Sharp IR (Vcc and GND). Now my Axon stops resetting.

But the Axon FAQ also recommends a 10uF ceramic cap and a 530 ohm resistor between signal and GND.

Where do I put them? Which comes first, the ceramic cap or the resistor?

And since there's already one cap and there are only two connectors, surely I'll have to put two leads in the same GND hole...

Thanks in advance.

I've seen it, I just wanna know if it's ok to put two leads in the same JST hole.

Guys, this is what I mean: (img)

Edit:
fixed image.
The connectors and the color code are drawn incorrectly, but you get the idea  :P

Yeah, it's alright if the two leads touch each other. Just think of it, if you need to connect them both to the ground wire, it won't matter if the leads touch each other just a little before the wire, they'll still both be connected to ground and if the leads didn't touch, they'd be connected anyhow through the piece of wire they're both connected to.

One thing you need to make sure though, check if it fits...
