in the 50$ Robot if i use ATMEGA32 instead of ATMEGA8 what changes do i have to make

you just have to match up the sensors and other important thing like the programmer to the right pins of the microcontroller. if you do that right it should all work great.

More than that, there is a few things you must do, i don't know all of them, but i think its more than just ports.

read the datasheet and compare it with the datasheet of the suggested atmega8
