Travelling to china!!!

Hi everyone, i neeed to know what basic equipment (for robots) like servos, dc motors, microcontrollers...ect to buy from china coz my father is travelling this weekend and he asked if i want something from there.
also i want u to recommand for me good simple books to know more about robotics something with good tutorials in it like how to build and programming ur robot coz i'm really fond of this field

Which city in China?

You won't find anything advanced that is cheaper over there, such as servos or microcontrollers. You can however find lots of cheap motors, heat sinks, speakers, and basically anything that can be scrapped from early 90's electronics ultra cheap. He'll have to look for an open electronics market (google around for one).

In Thailand I bought my solder sucker for $1 and an awesome variable voltage wall adapter for $3. I also bought a really awesome counterfeit 'Fuke' multimeter in Burma for like $10
